Although my first rod is not complete, only needing Pro Kote thread finish, I built this spinning rod with the Advanced rod building kit. Rod building 101 book with the kit is a great teaching manual and all of the components from the kit come into play. I absolutely love this new hobby. Best purchase I could ever have made. Now I customize anything as far as my personal preference in fishing rods.
